I think (if I say so myself *g*) that as a first experience at working on a joint fic project
heathcee and myself have come up with an awfully good one.
I love this fic and the Samhain feeling it has to it. And I totally loved working with Heath, though she had to put up with some dreadful mail spamming from me. And I'm glad you convinced me to go on YM, ♥ loves you ♥
What about doing a Stormy one next?
The disappearing book that was the source of inspiration for this is called
"Point of dreams"
And our fic is
"Ghost tide"
A huge thank you to
cinzia for her help in making me see Sean as Macbeth *hugs you*
and am curious to see if the subject line rings a bell to anyone here

Btw, mi chiedevo proprio dov'era finito Mellors! ;)
Il libro mi incuriosisce...sarà uscito in italia?

Date: 2003-10-31 11:57 am (UTC)You know the book!!
Great one, I haven't read the prequel (picked this up more or less randomly, just because the cover and synapsis intrigued me, during one of my Amazon binges). Have you read Armour of light? It looks a beauty but is not available *sighs*
And I never thought of it but you're right... Bodie and Doyle way back *g*
Isn't it precious when Eslingen moves in?

It's brilliant the way in which Rathe and Philip's relationship is in the background, but comes up with small sentences and the odd thought, while in their actions is obvious that they think about each other all the time.
I would love to have more, allegedly there is another book in the writing, I've been keeping my fingers crossed for a long time now :)
I haven't read Armour of light, but is not in the Points series, is it? Not as far as I know.
And as far as rumours go in the fandom (but if you a B&D fan, it's quite clear;) one or both of the authors used to be in the fandom. The physical descriptions and the background of the two men are self explanatory;)

Date: 2003-10-31 01:13 pm (UTC)Thanks for sharing that piece of info, I'm already itching to reread it with Bodie and Doyle in mind ;)
Nope, Armour of light is not in the Point of series. It's AU set in Elizabeth I's reign and apparently has miraculously undead Kit Marlowe and Philip Sidney, which for an English lit major sounds like a dream come true

Date: 2003-11-01 01:37 am (UTC)Beautifully scary, indeed. Personally, since I joined the Pros fandom (some 6 years ago) so many things have either changed or *strangely* happened, I am not much surprised anymore ~g~
(like crossing my path with Martin Shaw/Doyle exactly the day I was going to sign up finally for my PhD ~g~)
There is another interesting book Swordpoint , if you can find it, not B&D avatars imo, but a canonically, twisted, crazy male couple (one a mysterious scholar on the run, the other a sword-man voted to dueling for money). Good reading, imo.
Armour of light ..I will look for it. Sounds intriguing! Me, I have been plotting a angsty and very sad slash story/unrequited love story between Shakespeare and Marlowe for a while now duck and runs away very fast!

Date: 2003-10-31 12:01 pm (UTC)Proudly admits being guilty of Viggo's hands worship (*drools*) but that para was actually written by Heath... I do think we were somehow separated at birth.
and I know I wrote something almost identical in beta'ing your VigOrli *giggles some more*
