Some Sunday morning stretching

and some Sunday morning pimping *g*
I've corrupted a poor innocent into joining LJ *hugs
razzleslash*. She doesn't know yet how this sort of tends to take over a huge part of your life so don't tell her or you'll scare her off.
She captured me over in Library of Moria with the most astounding Boromir/Legolas, Aragorn piece I ever read. Which is now up here on LJ and is called Honest urges. And since she knew I was dying to see Aragorn get into the action too, she was charitable enough to add a juicy Boromir/Legolas/Aragorn, Double or nothing
Now, before some of you get all worked up about me reading Legolas, I suggest you all read just how good this stuff is.. I might also add that I never associate in my mind Legolas with Orlando. Which is curious..
I reread the trilogy after viewing the first two movies, and while Aragorn, Boromir, Frodo and most of them had become in my mind the movie ones, Legolas never did become Orlando/Legolas. I like Orli as Legolas, but I've always had a different idea of him, and Razzle's more along the lines of who I had in mind.
Enough said, go read now,
and any suggestion on which communities these can be posted to would be appreciated, seeing that I am not very knowledgeable about FPS

Date: 2003-10-26 03:22 am (UTC)And I agree with you completely - although I like Orlando as Legolas, he was never the Legolas of the books for me, while razzleslash's is certainly more like it.
Thanks for the pimping :)
Do you have a fluffy coat?
Date: 2003-10-26 04:55 am (UTC)Cheers for the bigup, and reassuring me I'm not the only person who thinks like this.
Love Book Legolas, Love film Legolas, cannot get the two to merge.
Legolas in the book was always getting so enthused, rather distant from Orli's assasin elf.

BTW, When I first read the books, I fell in love with Faramir. But I was young and impressionable ;)
Re: Do you have a fluffy coat?
Date: 2003-10-27 02:58 am (UTC)I much prefer Film!Faramir to Book!Faramir, I have to say. re: Legolas, though I like Orli's take on him, it's basically a different character, isn't it? The good point is that they did manage anyway to make the Elves distant/different enough.
I confess I quite liked the Bakshi animated (half) one..:)
Re: Do you have a fluffy coat?
Date: 2003-10-27 04:45 am (UTC)Found that so amusing for it's complete abandonment of the story half way through and the inability of the animators to give Boromir ar Aragorn a pair of trousers between them. They managed to provide them with enough chins.
Will see if i can find the vig pic and put it up on my LJ, 'cos it's just too cute for words.
xx
