Aug. 24th, 2003 03:11 pmIt’s unbelievable how you lose track of the calendar and such banal things as when is when while you’re on vacation *grins*
So I had my dates screwed up a lot during this trip...
Anyway, I’m back in Milan *sighs and wipes heatwave sweat once again* and tomorrow I’ll have to go back to work *wails*
I’m counting on all you sweeties to have provided lots and lots of goodies to make the return to reality less painful and traumatic.
I’m rather fuzzy cause I arrived home at about 3 am this morning and the heat made it impossible for me to catch up on sleep, so I’ll be pestering you with my comments on Iceland once I’m more coherent (stop laughing you all, don’t think I can’t see you).
First I’ll have to do god knows how many laundry loads, though it’ll be nice in a way to be able to wear something that is not mud-encrusted reeboks, mud-spattered jeans and five layers of clothing from tshirt to quilted jacket. Then I’ll spend god knows how many nights catching up with 3 weeks worth of fic bounty. Though I did manage to get online a few times, I was never able to do much reading and commenting (the few hotels that boasted an Internet connection for guests seemed to think the most appropriate place for it was the hotel lobby, so I always had travel friends peering over my shoulder).
More will follow very soon. For now, I’ll update the "fear of flying" bulletin... the flight into Iceland was blissful, thanks to
milochka's audio!Sean and a stiff gin & tonic, while the flight back from Iceland was equally blissful cause several hours soaking in Blue Lagoon melted my bones and my brain (note to
pipuk, it was drizzling when I got there though it cleared up afterwards and it was fantastic, my skin feels like velvet and I didn’t want to leave – ever).
Oh, did I mention I picked up lots of bunnies in Iceland?
