Miss you

Tonight I am in a real hotel in Husavik that has an Internet connection (bless the Icelandic gods!). I miss this so very much.. But I am having great fun. I've been through the fjords area and am now in the volcanoes area. The place is absolutely fascinating, it really look like a playground lost in time that the gods have temporarily abandoned..

Have you seen night time yet? Isn't Keflavik airport so little and brown :) I loved the bleakness of the area and the coloured glass sculpture just next to the road out of the airport.

Night time? It's about 10.30 pm over here and the light is the same as in Italy I have about five hours earlier.. it never gets dark.. the sky at night is light azure and lavender

Bleak, yes but it gives you such a sense of space..

I adored the fact that the sun was so high in the sky at midnight. It was unlike anything I'd ever experienced before.

The bleakness made me aware of how small and compact the UK really is. And how bloody overpopulated it is too :)

If you don't update us all on a visit to the Blue Lagoon I will personally come over and punish you ;) An experience you must not miss especially if its raining.

Was in Alaska the week before. 5 more hours drive would reach Arctic Circle but we never made it :(
sun didn't set until 11.40pm though. and yeah, after dark the sky is in azure, so easy for one to lose the sense of time. missed it terribly....
